2020 Fall Football & Cheer Pre-Registration: Open Now

Due to the uncertainty around COVID-19 for fall sports, we are currently not opening official registration for the fall 2020 season. We expect the situation for fall sports to become more clear in the coming weeks.  Once we have the guidance to proceed, we will open official registration.

This means that our registration window will be tighter than in years past. As a board, we are working hard and planning on having a season.  This planning will continue in hopes we get the ok from the state governor and all health departments.  We also need the green light from Brunswick City Schools and Brunswick High School as we use their fields for practice and games.  We are also working with the Suburban Youth Football Conference to make sure we are all on the same page regarding the upcoming season.  To assist us with understanding participation levels for the fall, we are asking parents to complete a Pre-Registration form. It is not a commitment from you - it is a simple information form for us to gauge expected participation levels in the fall and to understand roster numbers and equipment needs.

 Pre-Registration will be open from May 27, 2020 through June 12, 2020.

Please complete the form below and let us know which age groups your child/children will participate in for the upcoming season. There is space in the survey to pre-register up to 4 children per household. Note that age eligibility is the participants age as of Sept. 1, 2020. Thank you for your continued support of Blue Devils Youth Football and Cheer.

If there are any questions, please feel free to send an email to president@bluedevilsyouthfootball.com

2020 Blue Devils Youth Football & Cheer Updates
Posted Mar 2, 2020

The BDYF Board of Directors is pleased to announce a couple of necessary and exciting changes for the 2020 Fall Football and Cheer seasons.

Padded Flag Level:  Beginning in the Fall of 2020, the previous PeeWee level (7-8 years old) will be transitioning to a padded flag format.   This format will allow players to focus on learning the fundamentals of football with helmets and shoulder pads on before transitioning to JV’s full tackle format.  Padded Flag is full contact with the exception of tackling. This change is 100% supported by Brunswick High School Head Football Coach Mark Pinzone and many other area high school coaches.

League Affiliation:  The BDYF board has accepted an invitation from the Suburban Youth Football Conference to join their league at all levels of football and cheer.  This change will allow Brunswick to keep a youth football and cheer program within our community and allow us to participate with other cities under a conference name. The SYFC aligns closely with the current format of BDYF which will assist in making the transition as smooth as possible.  BDYF teams will now be known as Brunswick White, Blue, Black, Gray etc…. Players and Cheerleaders on all levels EXCEPT Varsity will be drafted to a Brunswick team via a blind draft once registration closes.

Suburban Youth Football Conference consists of:  Brunswick, Strongsville, Medina, Brecksville, Tri City (Parma), Brooklyn, Cloverleaf and Berea/Midpark.

For more information please be sure to visit the "Padded Flag" and "SYFC" Tabs on the site.
